The Foot: The ‘Most Durable Part’ of our Anatomy

There are more complaints about chronic pain and disability due to worn out knees, hips and shoulders leading up to replacement surgery than serious complaints of foot pain. Yet the foot carries the body’s full weight over 100,000 miles of walking and running in a lifetime and contains 33 joints. Who has ever heard of a total foot replacement and how many jocks even know where the calcaneus or talus bones are located? Let’s give a salute to our feet!
